If you or you little ones bored of the same local playground, let's explore new ones. Here are list of playground in Sydney which I have visited and liked. We live in Wolli Creek, so the most of them are here and there near us. Also you can find few water playgrounds mentioned in this post.
One of my favorite is a small playground in Zetland near the library, perfect for kids 0-4 y.o. It was made for locals, but I drive there, it's 15 mins drive from my place. I like this playground for its atmosphere. All locals mums are extremely friendly, you won't bored there. There always someone ready for chatting. It's not like that at any playground.
The playground itself are very interesting for kids, there are 2 slides, a few bridges and many other interesting things, which kids enjoy.
Seems Botany Bay Council are very good at playgrounds. Here are few of my favorite.
1. Mascot Park. There a playground for toddler and another one is for older kids, few swing, one of them with back support (I contacted council with a suggestion to replace one of 5 swings for older kids to one with back support and they did it).
The playground's new, with BBQ and table facilities. We celebrate my daughter Bday there. Also it has big sandbox with water feature, kids love it.
2. Grace Campbell Reserve in Hillsdale. Nice, cosy local playground for any age.
3. L'Estrange Park. Really cool one for wide age range. It has everything: swing, slides, climbing walls, water pump, sandbox, little road signs.
Another cool modern playground located in Rockdale area at Scarborough park, it's based on sand, has modern look.
Everyone knows the water playground in Darling Harbour, but there are another one close by in Pyrmont in Pyrrama Park. Playground there is brand new. When we were there last time, there's work in progress. So there should be something fantastic soon. But even in the way it is now, it's really cool, there swing, sandbox, playground and fountains for kids, don't forget swimming nappies.
Another playground with water park located in Still Park in Marrickville.
And the coolest one with water facilities is few hours away from Sydney in The Entrance.
Indoor playgrounds or rainy day playgrounds
My top 3:
Eastgardens Westfield, there 2 spots for kids. One of them is on the top floor near Woolworth. Suitable for kids 0-5 years old, while another one on ground floor near cafes and banks zone, there big lego blocks, boards, chalks, might be good for kids over 2.
They have nice kids zone at food court, there are small kitchen with all kitchen stuff in it, tables for drawing and small playground for little ones. Suitable for kids 0-5 y.o.
Coogee Pavilion Cafe has a nice kids zone, there something for any age, giant jenga, giant scrabble on a wall, and small toys for toddlers.
If you know some really interesting playground in Sydney, please share them in comments. It would be great for all mums to find something new for their kids.
